I get a great workout on this bike. I am glad that I ignored the negative reviews and went ahead with my purchase. I am in my late 20s and I got this bike to keep fit,keep in shape and as a new wife, keep my figure. I am seeing changes in my legs and stamina as well as in my mid section. The only other exercise equipment I have added to my routine is my husbands dumbbells, and I am satisfied with the results. I definitely recommend this bike to anybody who wants to exercise to stay fit or stay in shape.

I really like the bike. It was easy to put together and works very well. It has a lot of nice features and if you don't want to use all of them, you can just use it manually. One note, the adjustable seat should have instructions that say to apply a lot of pressure on the handle to lock into place. The instruction booklet tells you that there are holes to lock the seat. This one didn't have that, you just push on the handle and it locks by applying pressure. This is much better, but, you have to push hard on the handle to make it lock. Other than that, I am enjoying my bike and expect to get a lot of use out of it.

I had a problem with my first bike and Amazon took care of it immediately and sent me a new bike very quickly.
Great way to do business. I am one satisfied customer.

Sunny Pro spinner bike is an excellent purchase for the price. Got ours for $311.00 including shipping.One thing I have noticed and maybe just needs adjustment is if you are standing on the bike and turn up your resistance it will increase even tighter on it's own to the point where it is impossible to pedal without backing off the tension, no instructions have been included as to how to make adjustments, can't be to hard, I just need to take the time to do so. I love the built in brake, this is in an ideal location and is a great feature, smart feature,way to go Sunny Pro. I did put a different seat on it, personal preference. I would easily compare this bike to the one's at the gym, commercial grade. Couldn't be more pleased and would recommend it to anyone looking to save some cash but not missing out on quality.
Another note is if you take the free shipping option via Amazon you will need to nag them on speeding up the shipping process, as anyone knows for some reason if you take the free shipping option, Amazon will drag their feet on getting your product to you. I think this has to do with them for 1:not catering to the customer as they should and 2:not making additional monies from the product from shipping..Again, if you use the free shipping option, email or call them and ask the status of your purchase within a few days and see about expediting your purchase at no additional cost. They can and will do this for you. I received mine within a week after contacting them, otherwise I would have had to wait at least a month. This is the only real issue I had with my purchase.No fault of Sunny Pro.

The seat is pointed up too much and there is no way to adjust the angle of the seat. It is very uncomfortable, so I used a pillow to make it feel better. Otherwise, the bike seems to be just fine. It was easy to assemble and takes about 30 minutes.

After exhausively reviewing this item we made the decision to buy the Schwinn instead of a product twice the cost. We couldn't be HAPPIER!. The box did arrive very banged up, but the contents were fine. I put it together in about 2 hours, but did it very slowly due to interruptions. Out entire family uses it; mom, dad, teenage son & middle school daughter. It is VERY quiet, good computer screen and nice looking. The step through design is very helpful. If you don't ever plan on doing a hardcore workout on this bike then I suppose it would be ok. Took me a few weeks to get omfortable at a high resistance level. The 1st time I went over ten minutes at that high resistance at a steady and fast pace, there was a strong burnt rubber smell coming from the front where the wheels are.

Other than the smell...good bike. Buyer beware.

I bought this bike after reading all of the other reviews about it. I found all of the critiques to be accurate (it's a little small for anyone over 5'10" and the shipping is pricey). My biggest complaint about the bike, though, is the tension setting. Only a couple of reviewers made any mention of it. I've used the bike several times and I have to set it to the highest tension to get a decent workout. I'm a bit disappointed that I don't have anything to work up to - and I'm even not an avid biker or exerciser! I'm 34 in good health and participate in low to moderate physical activity. I do not recommend this bike to people who are looking for gym-quality exercise bike. However, this is a great bike for people who are looking to get a little cardio exercise at home or who may be just getting back into exercising/physical activity.

My initial experience with the Sunny Pro was pretty much the same as described in previous reviews: delivery within a week, cumbersome packaging, easy set up (about 30 minutes) and so on. I have a set of clip-in pedals already so I wasn't disappointed with the pedals (and, for the record, the strap-pedals are probably suitable for many riders). So things looked ready to go . . .

And then I tried riding the bike and encountered a serious problem. Whenever I tried to increase the resistance to even a mildly strenuous level the flywheel squealed terribly; worse yet, even when I tried to continue pedaling over the noise, it would simply lock up. I think this is because the bike uses cantilevers and pads with dense fabric instead of magnetic resistance. In other words, when one turns the resistance knob the pads press against the flywheel, sort of like brake pads on a bike. I believe that the friction between the flywheel caused both the squealing and vibration that caused the resistance knob to rattle, thereby tightening the pads inadvertently.

Needless to say, this was a source of great frustration and I tried all sorts of adjustments to the resistance knob, the cantilevers, and so on with no luck. I was VERY disappointed by the bike because I thought it was basically going to end up as a very expensive clothes horse. But I finally decided to try smearing each side of the rim of the flywheel with lubricant to reduce friction, not knowing what effect it would have on the material that covers the resistance pads.

Long story short, this seems to have done the trick and now the bike works beautifully. I'm pretty active--mountain biking, in-line skating, martial arts--and it looks like the Sunny Pro will provide strenuous indoor workouts for a long time to come. I really do think it's on par with much more expensive machines. Time will tell.

For now, though, I'm giving it four stars because of the frustration I experienced initially. The solution I came upon may seem pretty obvious but it wasn't included in the directions or in other posts so I thought I would share it. It's made the bike functional instead of completely useless.

Inexpensive, assembled easily, and worked well. But after less than two weeks, it was grinding and then the pedals locked up completely. After finally getting the whole thing apart, I saw that the belt was shredding and the pieces were jamming the mechanisms. Stamina replaced the belt, and now I just have to figure out how to get it back on, because it doesn't seem to work. Once it does, and if the bike works well from then on, I'll adjust my rating, but right now I'm not terribly pleased to have something break after less than 2 weeks of mild use.

I have really enjoyed this bike. I can set it to be as relaxed or as intense as I want it. It was time consuming to put together, but not hard. You do need someone who can lift heavy items to get the main part out of the box because it is very heavy. The hardest part was making sure the cord in the back did not fall down in the pole when you have to take apart some of the bike and getting the wires for the computer in place. It is all worth it. I would recommend this product and I would recommend it for anyone that has a regular stationary bike to have the back support. It just makes it more enjoyable to ride. I did read where someone said the computer part is in the way if you want to watch TV - you have to lean over or turn it to the side some. I did find this to be true, but I ususally listen to music so that is not much of a problem for me. Just be careful that you dont stump your toes on the back part that sits on the floor. My son and I almost broke our toes putting it together and hit our toes. It is definitely a good quality material. Amazon.com has the best deal on this bike.

The Horizon Comfort 408 is described by some as a semi-recumbent bike due to its slightly higher seat in relation to the pedals compared to other recumbent bikes. Horizon claim the position helps to reduce the strain on legs and lower back and we have to admit we found it very comfortable.

The seat is well-padded with lumbar support and even taller people should find a good riding position - the self-adjusting pedals are wide with straps to keep your feet in place.

One feature the 408 can boast over its closest rivals is the 'Free Spin Technology' which lets you coast when you stop pedalling - just like a real bike on a hill. This combined with the smooth pedalling action makes for a comfortable and enjoyable ride whilst reducing the stress on your joints.

The display consists of a large LCD screen showing distance, speed, time, calories and your heart rate. Whilst the screen is large if you're short-sighted you'll need to keep your glasses on as the actual numbers are small. The control console is easy to use with one-touch buttons to alter the resistance level and up-down arrows to select one of the 8 pre-set programmes and other settings.

The pre-set programmes are varied enough to keep your training from getting dull, although both the Bremshey Cardio ER and Schwinn 203 have twice that number. The Comfort 408 programmes include intervals, hills and weightloss plus two free custom slots for you to design your own.

You can measure your heart rate by either using the grips on the handles or the more accurate chest strap (not included) that communicates with the built-in Polar chip in the console. However, note the Comfort 408 does not have heart rate programmes that alters the resistance or speed levels to keep your heart beating at the best rate to optimise your workout - both the above mentioned bikes have this feature.

Horizon offer a full three year parts and labour warranty which is very good for a bike in this price range.

Conclusion:
A very comfortable, quality bike that's ideal for those new to exercise or recovering from injury or illness, although not quite as exciting as the Bremshey Cardio ER.
